IRIS
POSTMODERN BOTANICA LOOK_04
The starting point for my collection is a flower guide my mother gave me when I was a child. With each change of season, we would go on walks together, searching for local flowers from the guide. My parents immigrated with me to Israel when I was young, and through this intimate tradition, my mother planted in me a deep love for the land. Each piece in the collection is inspired by a different Israeli wildflower and features original prints based on photographs I’ve taken over the years. Through my camera lens, I explored the complexity of wildflowers—their forms, textures, colors, and reproductive structures. I then layered these images with hand embroidery, created silk prints from real flowers, and painted with oil to develop a visual language of my own. The flowers’ shapes also guided the creation of new garment patterns. The result is a contemporary, emotional, and deeply personal interpretation of each flower.

A JOURNEY THROUGH THE LANDSCAPE
This look honors Israel's unique Irises. My mother showed me their diverse and textures. Their strong presence inspired me to capture their scale and architectural strength.
OVERSIZED STRUCTURE AND COLLAGE
The silhouette emerged from a conceptual collage that examined the flower's dramatic proportions. I transformed these shapes into an oversized button-down and matching shorts made of heavy satin for a structured feel. By incorporating "puffer" techniques, I created a bold silhouette that mirrors the presence of the irises I explored with my mother.

KINETIC
TEXTURES & CRAFTSMANSHIP
The jacket has puffer irises that sway with movement, embellished with velvet, embroidery, and crystals. It screen-printed wildflowers on the satin and a light pink lining with a hand-drawn flower.
