PURPLE FOUNTAIN GRASS
UNCONVENTIONAL MATERIALS STUDIO
I created a tailored jacket using the Purple Fountain Grass plant, which grows wild across Israel. Inspired by my lifelong passion for Israeli botany, I sought to create a sustainable piece that showcases nature's potential beyond the ground. The fashion industry is a major polluter, and as a designer, I prioritize environmental responsibility from textile selection to the garment's end-of-life. The jacket, inspired by Maskit's Desert Coat and Chanel's tweed jacket, consists of thousands of plants gathered over months in Haifa, Modi'in, and Jerusalem.

CHANEL & MASKIT
The silhouette fuses Maskit’s Desert Coat and Chanel’s tweed jacket, blending Israeli heritage withian elegance. The tailored jacket offers grounded sophistication while showcasing the organic of the botanical material.
HAND-GATHERED PLANTS
The jacket's texture is crafted plants in Haifa, Modi'in, and Jerusalem. By connecting fountain grass, I created structured panels. I then cut and sewed these into a tweed jacket for a "living tweed".

SUSTAINABLE FASHION
This piece highlights sustainable fashion and the industry's pollution impact. As a designer, I environmental responsibility, using a renewable plant as the main material. This nature as an alternative to synthetic fabrics, offering a plant-based texture similar to fur, without animal products or microplastics.
